I was hired by The Marketing Store in May 2015 to photograph a giant San Miguel chalice being driven around London, being filled up bit by bit every time somebody tweeted #SanMiguelChalice. The aim of the campaign was to drive awareness for the new limited edition San Miguel Chalice which had been released in London. My job was to ride in the support vehicle taking imagery of the chalice being filled up along the journey, which would then be live tweeted back to people who had engaged with the campaign. As the photos needed to be tweeted out in real time, I used a Wi-Fi sim card which sent the photos directly to a portal for the community managers to access and share.
The images are the product of a fast-paced high pressured environment, i had to ensure they were high quality and consistent since there was no opportunity to edit, whilst adhering to Portman Group regulations used by alcohol brands, for example, avoiding under 25’s being present in the frames whilst following the client’s regulations for the imagery such as, showing no other obvious branding in the shots.
